Echium aculeatum is a flowering plant in the Boraginaceae family, native to the Canary Islands. It is found on El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, and Tenerife, and is known as ajinajo in Spanish.

Echium aculeatum, described by Poir. in 1808, belongs to the genus Echium within the Boraginaceae family. This species is endemic to the Canary Islands, where it grows on four islands: El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, and Tenerife. It is referred to locally in Spanish as ajinajo.
