Spiranthes eatonii, known as Eaton's lady's tresses, is a terrestrial orchid native to the United States. It is closely related to or possibly a variant of Spiranthes lacera. The species is found in several southeastern states.

Description

Spiranthes eatonii belongs to the Orchidaceae family and is endemic to North America. It occurs in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. This species was first described in 1999 by Ames ex P.M.Br. It is commonly called Eaton's lady's tresses in English. The plant is a terrestrial orchid and is closely related to Spiranthes lacera, though its exact taxonomic status relative to that species remains under study.
