Symphyotrichum concolor (L.) G.L.Nesom, known as Eastern Silver Aster, is a perennial herb in the Asteraceae family. It grows 30 to 80 cm tall, with grayish-green, silky leaves. The flowers feature 8–12 rose-purple (rarely white) ray florets and disk florets that change from pink to purple. It is native to the Atlantic coastal plain and Piedmont regions of the eastern United States and the Bahamas.

Description

Symphyotrichum concolor is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is native to Alabama, the Bahamas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. This species is a herbaceous perennial with a height range of 30 to 80 cm. Its leaves are grayish-green and silky in texture. The flowers have 8–12 rose-purple ray florets and disk florets that transition from pink to purple. It was first published in 1995.
