Dyschoriste microphylla is a species in the Acanthaceae family, native to parts of Mexico and El Salvador. It was first described in 1891 and is part of the genus Dyschoriste.

Dyschoriste microphylla (Cav.) Kuntze belongs to the Acanthaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the acanthus family. This species is distributed across several regions in Mexico, including the central, Gulf, northeast, and southwest areas, as well as in El Salvador. The species was published in 1891 and is classified under the genus Dyschoriste. Its name reflects taxonomic revisions that have occurred since its initial description by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius, later reclassified by Kuntze.
