Melocactus matanzanus, known as the dwarf Turk's-cap cactus, is a species in the Cactaceae family. The name derives from the Cuban province of Matanzas. It is found in BR, Vichada, Global, Cuba, and the Archipiélago de Cuba.

Description

Melocactus matanzanus is a member of the Cactaceae family and is native to regions including BR, Vichada, Global, Cuba, and the Archipiélago de Cuba. It is commonly referred to as the dwarf Turk's-cap cactus. The species was first described in 1934 by León. Its name is derived from the Cuban province of Matanzas.
