Phaleria octandra, known as Dwarf Phaleria, is a rainforest shrub in the Thymelaeaceae family. It is native to Indonesia, New Guinea, and northern Australia, and was first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1767. The species is classified as least concern in terms of conservation status.

Description

Phaleria octandra is a member of the Thymelaeaceae family and is found in the rainforests of Indonesia, New Guinea, and northern Australia. It was initially described by Carl Linnaeus in 1767 and later reclassified by Baill. in 1875. The plant has a wide distribution that includes Jawa, the Lesser Sunda Islands, Maluku, the Northern Territory, Queensland, and the Solomon Islands.
