Cyperus prolifer, commonly known as dwarf papyrus, is a sedge species native to eastern Africa, from Somalia to the Cape Provinces of South Africa, as well as Madagascar and Mauritius. It has been introduced to other regions, including Florida, where it is considered invasive. This species belongs to the Cyperaceae family and was first described in 1791 by Lam.

Description
