Zostera noltii, known as Dwarf Eelgrass, is a seagrass species found in coastal waters of northwestern Europe, the Mediterranean, Black Sea, Caspian Sea, and Atlantic islands off northwest Africa. It inhabits intertidal and shallow subtidal zones in estuaries, bays, and lagoons.

Description

Zostera noltii is a seagrass in the Zosteraceae family, native to regions including Portugal, Flanders, Denmark, France, and the Mediterranean. It was first described in 1832 by Hornem. This species plays a significant ecological role in coastal ecosystems, particularly in estuaries and lagoons. Its distribution spans from the Eastern Atlantic to the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.
