Description

Callitris oblonga, described by Rich. & A.Rich. in 1826, is a conifer in the family Cupressaceae. It is endemic to Australia, occurring naturally in New South Wales and Tasmania. The species is also referred to as pygmy cypress pine, river pine, or pigmy cypress pine. One subspecies has been introduced in Victoria. The plant is considered vulnerable due to threats such as land clearing, habitat degradation, and competition or damage from invasive species. It is part of the cypress family and is commonly called Dwarf Cypress-pine in English.
