Sidalcea malviflora is a member of the Malvaceae (mallow) family and is commonly referred to as dwarf checkerbloom. It is also known by other names such as Greek mallow, prairie mallow, and dwarf checkermallow. The plant is native to and found in regions such as Ireland, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, England, Scotland, Wales, the Southeast, the Faroe Islands, and Norway. This species was first published in 1852.
