Andreaea rothii is a member of the Andreaeaceae family and is found in regions such as Labrador, Québec, Vermont in the United States, and parts of Europe including Norway, Denmark, Belgium, and the Walloon Region. This moss species was first published in 1807 by F. Weber and D. Mohr. It is commonly referred to as dusky rock moss in English.
