Description
Duguetia macrophylla belongs to the genus Duguetia within the Annonaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as custard apples. The species is found in the Reserva Nacional Natural Puinawai and Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de Chiribiquete, as well as in the Amazonas region and other parts of northern South America. Its distribution extends across Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. First described in 1934 by R.E.Fr., this species is part of the broader biodiversity of the Neotropical region.
