Dryadella simula is a species in the Orchidaceae family, native to regions in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It was first described in 1978 by Luer, with the original authorship attributed to Rchb.f.

Description

Dryadella simula belongs to the genus Dryadella within the Orchidaceae family, a group of flowering plants known for their diverse and often intricate floral structures. This species is found in the departments of Antioquia, Boyacá, and Cauca in Colombia, as well as in the Jardín Botánico de Bogotá. Its distribution also extends to Ecuador and Peru. The species was formally published in 1978 by Luer, based on earlier work by Rchb.f. Dryadella simula is part of the rich orchid flora of the Andean region, where it contributes to the ecological and botanical diversity of the area.
