Aponogeton natans (L.) Engl. & K.Krause, known as Drifting Sword Plant, is a species in the Aponogetonaceae family. It is native to the Indomalayan region, including Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the West Himalaya. The species was first described in 1906.

Description

Aponogeton natans is a member of the Aponogeton genus, which is part of the Aponogetonaceae family. It is widely distributed across the Oriental region, particularly in South and Southeast Asia. The plant is commonly referred to as Drifting Sword Plant in English. Its natural range includes countries such as Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the West Himalaya. The species was formally published in 1906.
