Protea dracomontana, known as Drakensberg Dwarf Sugarbush, is a flowering plant in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the Eastern Cape, Lesotho, KwaZulu-Natal, the escarpment of the Free State, and eastern Zimbabwe. In Zimbabwe, it is found only on the summit of Mount Nyangani.

Description

Protea dracomontana, described by Beard in 1958, is a member of the Proteaceae family and is part of the Protea genus. This species is distributed across several regions in southern Africa, including the Eastern Cape, Lesotho, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Free State. It also occurs in eastern Zimbabwe, where it is restricted to a small population on Mount Nyangani. The plant is commonly known as Drakensberg Dwarf Sugarbush.
