Cecropia schreberiana is a tropical tree species in the Urticaceae family, commonly known as Downgolog. It was first described in 1853 by Miq. and is native to the Caribbean and northern South America. The species is typically found in disturbed areas within subtropical to montane rainforests.

Cecropia schreberiana is a fast-growing tree in the Urticaceae family. It is distributed across several regions, including Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, the Leeward and Windward Islands, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago, and parts of Central and South America. This species is commonly found in disturbed habitats of subtropical to montane rainforests. It is known by several other names, including trumpetwood, pumpwood, guarumo, and snakewood tree.
