Doryopteris kirkii (Hook.) Alston is a fern species within the Pteridaceae family, which is primarily found in the forested areas of western Africa. Its distribution is limited to specific regions in Guinea, including Guinée forestière, Haute-Guinée, and Moyenne-Guinée. The species was formally published in 1956 and is recognized as part of the genus Doryopteris. The name honors the botanist John Kirk, and the taxonomic revision was carried out by Alston, who transferred it from its original description by Hooker.
