Dolichandra uncata (Andrews) L.G.Lohmann is a species in the Bignoniaceae family, native to various regions in Central and South America, including Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, and Guyana. It is also found in specific locations within Colombia such as Complejo Humedales Hato Corozal, Cienaga Zapatosa, Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, and Núcleo CI Tequendama. The species was published in 2017.
Description
Dolichandra uncata is a member of the Bignoniaceae family and is distributed across a wide range in Central and South America. It is documented in several Colombian departments, including Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Boyacá, Cesar, Chocó, Córdoba, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, and Sucre. The species extends beyond Colombia to regions in Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, and Guatemala. The scientific name was formally published in 2017 by L.G. Lohmann, based on the earlier work of Andrews.
