Description
Sorbus aucuparia is a member of the genus Sorbus and is commonly referred to as Dogberry. It is found in various locations such as New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Portugal Continental, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Flanders, Vermont-US, Australia, and New Zealand. The species has been the subject of taxonomic discussion, with Rehder treating it as the generitype in 1949, though Green had previously selected S. domestica L. for this role in 1929.
