Diplacus tricolor is a species of monkeyflower native to Oregon and California. It was previously classified under the genus Mimulus as Mimulus tricolor. The plant is adapted to seasonally wet environments, including meadows and vernal pools, particularly in the San Joaquin Valley and near north coast oak woodlands.

Description

Diplacus tricolor, a member of the genus Diplacus in the family Phrymaceae, is found in Oregon and California. It thrives in seasonally wet habitats such as meadows and vernal pools. The species was reclassified from the genus Mimulus to Diplacus in 2012. It is commonly referred to as tricolor monkeyflower.
