Diphasiastrum oellgaardii

Diphasiastrum oellgaardii is a lycophyte species within the Lycopodiaceae family, a group of vascular plants commonly known as clubmosses. It is part of the genus Diphasiastrum, which includes several species of small, herbaceous plants typically found in moist, shaded environments. This species was formally described in 1996 by a team of researchers including Stoor, Boudrie, Jérôme, K.Horn, and Bennert. Its geographic distribution is limited to the Nordic region. As with other members of the Lycopodiaceae family, D. oellgaardii likely exhibits characteristics such as small, scale-like leaves and sporangia borne on specialized structures.
