Description

Dieffenbachia cannifolia Engl. is a member of the Araceae family, commonly known as the arum or aroid family. This species is found in the Amazonas and Putumayo regions of Colombia, as well as in Ecuador and Peru. Specific localities include the Parque Nacional Natural de Amacayacu, the municipio de Mocoa, and the Vereda San Carlos in the Centro Experimental Amazónico CEA managed by Corpoamazonia. The species was first published in 1915 by the botanist Engl.
