Description
Deamia testudo (Karw. ex Zucc.) Britton & Rose is a member of the Cactaceae family. It is native to southern Mexico and extends through Central America to Nicaragua. This species was first described in 1838 and later reclassified in 1920. It is a climbing or scrambling plant with elongated stems and produces large white flowers. Its distribution includes regions such as Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, the Gulf and Southeastern parts of Mexico, the Southwestern part of Mexico, and Nicaragua.
