Daucus edulis

Daucus edulis (Lowe) Wojew., Reduron, Banasiak & Spalik is a species of flowering plant in the carrot or celery family, Apiaceae. It is found exclusively in the regions of Madeira and the Selvagens islands. The species was formally described and published in 2016. As an endemic species, it does not occur naturally outside these island territories. Due to its limited distribution and threats to its habitat, it is classified as critically endangered.
