Daphne bholua, a species of flowering shrub in the genus Daphne of the family Thymelaeaceae, is native to the Himalayas and neighboring regions. It is found from Nepal to southern China, growing at altitudes between 1,700 and 3,500 meters. The plant is evergreen at lower altitudes and deciduous at higher elevations, typically reaching a height of 2.5 meters, though some specimens may grow up to 4 meters.

Description

Daphne bholua is a shrub that grows in thickets and forest margins at lower altitudes and in pastures and grassy glades at higher altitudes. It is distributed across Assam, China South-Central, East Himalaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Tibet, and Vietnam. This species was first described in 1825 by Buch.-Ham. ex D.Don.
