Dampiera altissima, known as tall dampiera, is a perennial herb in the Goodeniaceae family native to Western Australia. It grows up to 0.5 m tall with flat, green-grey, mostly round leaves measuring 8–60 mm in length. It flowers during winter and spring with small blue-purple flowers. It is found on sandplains, laterite, and sandstone in the southwestern region of Western Australia, particularly in the Geraldton area. It is sometimes cultivated as an ornamental plant and is not considered threatened.

Description

Dampiera altissima (F.Muell. ex Benth.) is an erect perennial herb in the Goodeniaceae family. It is native to Western Australia and typically reaches a height of up to 0.5 m. The plant features flat, green-grey leaves that are mostly round and range from 8–60 mm in length. It produces small blue-purple flowers during the winter and spring seasons. This species is commonly found on sandplains, laterite, and sandstone in the southwestern part of Western Australia, with a higher frequency in the Geraldton area. Dampiera altissima is occasionally grown as an ornamental plant and is classified as not threatened.
