Dacrydium elatum is a conifer in the Podocarpaceae family, native to Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. It was first described in 1843 by Hooker, with the original name attributed to Roxb. and later revised by Wall.

This species is distributed across several Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is part of the genus Dacrydium, which includes several species of conifers known for their needle-like leaves and woody cones. The species was formally described in 1843 by William Jackson Hooker, with the original name credited to Robert Wight (Roxb.) and later revised by Nathaniel Wallich (Wall.).
