Cystopteris sudetica is a species in the genus Cystopteris, family Cystopteridaceae. It was first described in 1855 by A.Braun & Milde. This fern is distributed across a wide range including regions in Europe, Asia, and parts of East Asia.

The species is found in various regions such as Northern and Southern Europe, parts of Russia including Altay, Amur, Buryatiya, Irkutsk, and Krasnoyarsk, as well as in China (North-Central and South-Central), Japan, Korea, Manchuria, Mongolia, and Italy. Its distribution also extends to the Baltic States, Austria, Germany, and Czechoslovakia.
