Cyrtopodium cristatum is a species of orchid in the Orchidaceae family, first described by Lindl. in 1841. It is distributed across several regions in northern and central South America.

Description

Cyrtopodium cristatum belongs to the genus Cyrtopodium within the Orchidaceae family. The species is native to various parts of South America, including Brazil (North, Southeast, and West-Central regions), Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Parque Nacional Natural El Tuparro in Vichada, Suriname, and Venezuela. This orchid was first formally described in 1841 by the botanist Lindl.
