Cyrtopodium andersonii is a species in the Orchidaceae family, native to South America. It is the type species of the genus Cyrtopodium and was first described in 1813.

Description

Cyrtopodium andersonii (Lamb. ex Andrews) R.Br. belongs to the Orchidaceae family and is found in several regions of South America, including Brazil (North, Southeast, and West-Central), Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago, and Venezuela. As the type species of the genus Cyrtopodium, it was formally published in 1813.
