Cyrtococcum oxyphyllum is a species in the grass family (Poaceae), native to regions across the Indian and Pacific Oceans, including the Andaman Islands, Bangladesh, Borneo, Caroline Islands, China (South-Central and Southeast), Cook Islands, Tongatapu, Eua, Tofua, Vava‘u, and other islands in the Pacific. It was first described in 1922 by Stapf, based on earlier work by Hochst. ex Steud.

Description

Cyrtococcum oxyphyllum belongs to the genus Cyrtococcum within the grass family (Poaceae). Its geographic range spans multiple island groups and regions in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The species is found in locations such as VU, CK, NU, AS, WS, SB, PG, FJ, TO, as well as Tongatapu, Eua, Tofua, Vava‘u, Andaman Is., Bangladesh, Borneo, Caroline Is., and parts of China. The name was formally published in 1922 by Stapf, building upon the earlier contributions of Hochst. ex Steud.
