Zamia skinneri is a species in the Zamiaceae family, native to the coastal area of Bocas del Toro Province in Panama. It is known by the common name cebolla roja.

Description

Zamia skinneri, described by Warsz. in 1851, is a cycad species belonging to the genus Zamia and the Zamiaceae family. It is endemic to the coastal regions of Bocas del Toro Province in Panama. This species is part of the global distribution of cycads but is specifically restricted to this region in Middle America. Its local common name is cebolla roja.
