Dioon rzedowskii is a species of cycad in the family Zamiaceae, native to Oaxaca, Mexico. It is found in the Rio Santo Domingo valley, near San Bartolomé Ayautla and San Pedro Teutila. The species was first described in 1980 by De Luca, A. Moretti, Sabato, and Vázq. Torres.

Description

Dioon rzedowskii is a cycad species endemic to the Rio Santo Domingo valley in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It is specifically associated with the areas surrounding the villages of San Bartolomé Ayautla and San Pedro Teutila. The species was formally published in 1980 and belongs to the genus Dioon within the family Zamiaceae. It is part of the broader group of cycads, which are ancient seed plants often found in tropical and subtropical regions.
