Cycas multipinnata, known as Royal Sago, is a cycad species in the Cycadaceae family, native to southwestern China and northern Vietnam. It is recognized for having the longest petioles among Gymnosperms, reaching up to 4 m in cultivation. The bipinnate fronds can extend to 7 m in length, with uniquely Y-shaped ultimate pinnules. This plant was not documented until 1994.
Description

The species is notable for its exceptionally long leaf stalks and large fronds, with the lamina being the largest among Gymnosperms. It was first published in 1994 and is sometimes classified under the genus Epicycas by certain taxonomists.
