Curcuma oligantha, described by Trimen in 1885, is a species in the genus Curcuma of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae. It is native to India, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.

Description

Curcuma oligantha is a member of the Zingiberaceae family, commonly known as the ginger family. It was first described by the botanist Trimen in 1885. The species is geographically distributed across three countries in South and Southeast Asia: India, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. As part of the Curcuma genus, it is related to other economically and botanically significant species, such as C. longa (turmeric).
