Curcuma kwangsiensis is a species in the genus Curcuma, belonging to the family Zingiberaceae. It was first described in 1977 by S.G. Lee and C.F. Liang. The species is native to South-Central and Southeast China, as well as Vietnam.

Description

Curcuma kwangsiensis is part of the Zingiberaceae family, commonly known as the ginger family. This species is distributed across South-Central and Southeast China, as well as in Vietnam. It was formally described in 1977 by botanists S.G. Lee and C.F. Liang. As a member of the Curcuma genus, it is likely to share characteristics typical of the genus, such as rhizomatous growth and herbaceous foliage. The species is named after its region of origin, Kwangsi, now known as Guangxi.
