Cullen tomentosum is a species in the genus Cullen, belonging to the Fabaceae family. It is native to several regions in southern Africa, including Angola, Botswana, the Cape Provinces, Free State, Mozambique, Namibia, Northern Provinces, and Zimbabwe. The species was formally described in 1997.

The species was published in 1997 and is part of the Cullen genus. The name Cullen tomentosum was established by J.W. Grimes, based on earlier work by Thunb.
