Cullen pallidum, known as woolly scurf-pea, is a short-lived perennial herb native to mainland Australia. It occurs in New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, and Western Australia. The species is rare in Victoria but common elsewhere. It is also referred to as woolly psoralea, Bullamon lucerne, and white scurf-pea.

Description

Cullen pallidum is a member of the Fabaceae family and is adapted to habitats with moving sand dunes, where its lower stems are often partially buried. The species was formally described in 1996 by J.W. Grimes, with the original name attributed to N.T. Burb. It is a short-lived perennial herb, and its distribution spans multiple Australian states. It is particularly rare in Victoria but more commonly found in other regions of the country.
