Cryptolepis capensis is a plant species in the Apocynaceae family, native to the Cape Provinces, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Provinces, and Eswatini. It was first described by Rudolf Schlechter in 1893, based on a specimen collected in South Africa.

Description

Cryptolepis capensis belongs to the genus Cryptolepis within the Apocynaceae family. The species is distributed across several regions in South Africa, including the Cape Provinces, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Northern Provinces, as well as Eswatini. Rudolf Schlechter, the botanist who formally described the species in 1893, named it in reference to the area in South Africa where the collected specimen originated.
