Cryptanthus coriaceus is a plant species in the Bromeliaceae family, native to Brazil. It is part of the genus Cryptanthus and was first described in 1991 by Leme. The species is found specifically in the Southeast region of Brazil.

Description

Cryptanthus coriaceus is a member of the Bromeliaceae family, known as the bromeliad family. It is one of the species within the Cryptanthus genus, a group of plants commonly referred to as earth stars. The species is endemic to Brazil, where it is distributed in the Southeast region. It was formally described and published in 1991 by the botanist Leme.
