Crispiloba disperma is a shrub native to Queensland, Australia, growing up to 4 m tall. It produces fragrant white flowers and purplish ovoid fruits. Found in rainforests of north-east Queensland at altitudes between 100 and 1,250 m, the species was first described in 1917 under the name Randia disperma and later reclassified into the genus Crispiloba in 1984.

Description

Crispiloba disperma belongs to the family Alseuosmiaceae and is the sole species in the monotypic genus Crispiloba. The plant was initially collected from Mount Bellenden Ker and described in 1917. It is a rainforest shrub characterized by its white, fragrant flowers and distinctive purplish ovoid fruits. The species is endemic to Queensland and has been documented at elevations ranging from 100 to 1,250 m. Its reclassification into the genus Crispiloba occurred in 1984, as proposed by Steenis, with the original name being Randia disperma (S.Moore).
