Hesperantha coccinea, known as the crimson flag, is a flowering plant in the Iridaceae family. It is native to regions including AU, the Cape Provinces, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Lesotho, Northern Provinces, Swaziland, Tasmania, and Zimbabwe. This semievergreen perennial reaches up to 60 cm in height, with lanceolate leaves up to 40 cm long. It produces red, pink, or white flowers, 30–35 mm long, with six petals, arranged four to ten on a spike during late summer to autumn.

Hesperantha coccinea, also referred to as the river lily or crimson flag lily, is a flowering plant in the Iridaceae family. It is native to Southern Africa and Zimbabwe. The plant is a semievergreen perennial that can grow up to 60 cm tall, with slender lanceolate leaves reaching 40 cm in length and 1 cm in width. The flowers are red, occasionally pink or white, measuring 30–35 mm in length, and feature six petals. They are produced in groups of four to ten on a spike during late summer to autumn.
