Description
Agropyron fragile is a grass species found in various parts of North America and Eurasia. It occurs in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Yukon in Canada, as well as in the conterminous 48 United States, Colorado, Idaho, and other western states. It is also present in Altay, China North-Central, East European Russia, Inner Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Kirgizstan. The species was first described in 1901 and is known by the common name crested wheatgrass in English and other languages.
