Crateva unilocularis is a species in the genus Crateva, belonging to the family Capparaceae. It was first described in 1827 by Buch.-Ham. and is native to regions including the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, parts of China, the East Himalaya, and several Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.

Description

Crateva unilocularis is a plant species found in a range of tropical and subtropical regions across South and Southeast Asia. Its distribution includes the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China (South-Central and Southeast), the East Himalaya, Hainan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, and Vietnam. The species was formally described in 1827 by Buch.-Ham., and is part of the Capparaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the caper family. This family is characterized by its often aromatic and sometimes edible fruits and is widely distributed in tropical and warm temperate regions.
