Crateva formosensis

Crateva formosensis is a member of the Capparaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the caper family. It is distributed across several regions in East and Southeast Asia, including Taiwan, Southeast China, the Nansei-shoto archipelago, and Vietnam. The species was formally published in 1999 by B.S.Sun, who recognized it based on prior taxonomic work by Jacobs. This species contributes to the biodiversity of its native range and is part of the broader genus Crateva, which includes several other related species.
