Couratari asterotricha, known locally as imbirema, is a plant species native to Brazil. It belongs to the Lecythidaceae family and is restricted to the Southeast region of the country. The species was formally described in 1981 by the botanist Prance. Due to its limited distribution and threats to its habitat, it is classified as critically endangered.
