Cotyledon xanthantha

Cotyledon xanthantha is a member of the Crassulaceae family, commonly known as the stonecress family. This species was formally described in 2017 by Van Jaarsv. & Eggli. It is found in the Cape Provinces region of South Africa, where it is part of the local flora. The genus Cotyledon includes a variety of succulent plants, many of which are adapted to arid environments. As with other members of the genus, Cotyledon xanthantha likely exhibits characteristics typical of Crassulaceae, such as fleshy leaves and compact growth forms suited to dry conditions.
