Costus pictus, known as painted spiral ginger or spotted spiral ginger, is a species of plant in the Costaceae family. Its native range is Mexico to Central America.

Description

Costus pictus is a member of the Costaceae family and is native to regions spanning from Mexico to Central America. It is found in several countries including Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and various regions of Mexico such as Central, Gulf, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. The species was first described in 1833 by D.Don.
