Costus glaucus is a species in the genus Costus, belonging to the family Costaceae. It was first described by Maas in 1976. The species is distributed in several Central and South American countries, including Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama. Within Colombia, it is found in the Parque Nacional Natural Sierra de la Macarena in the Meta region.

Description

Costus glaucus is a member of the Costaceae family and is part of the genus Costus. The species was formally published in 1976 by Maas. It occurs in various regions across Central and South America, with a documented presence in Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama. In Colombia, it is specifically recorded in the Parque Nacional Natural Sierra de la Macarena, located in the Meta department.
