Coryphopteris viscosa is a fern species in the family Thelypteridaceae, native to Borneo, Malaya, Sumatera, and Thailand. It was first described in 1971 by Holttum, based on earlier work by Baker.

Description

Coryphopteris viscosa is a member of the Thelypteridaceae family, a group of ferns commonly known as the Thelypteridaceae or the shield fern family. This species is found in the regions of Borneo, Malaya, Sumatera, and Thailand. The scientific name was formally published in 1971 by Holttum, building upon the earlier taxonomic work of Baker. The genus Coryphopteris includes several species of ferns characterized by their distinctive fronds and habitat preferences in tropical and subtropical regions.
